Monday Master Blog: This is how you get fit effortlessly

You probably clicked on the title of this post because you're curious about how you can get fit without any effort. Let me be honest about this:
You can't get fit without putting in time, energy and sweat. You shouldn't want that either and we will explain why.

Everything worth having takes effort.
And that's a good thing.

We increasingly want to be rewarded without having to do the work.
Passive income, a thriving relationship without dating, getting fit in 20 minutes a week.
It sounds fantastic, but it doesn't add up.

Research shows that 70% of the lottery winners have lost the money they received within five years. Then you win a prize that you never have to work with again and then you waste that money so that you are worse off than before. How?

You see the same with football players or artists who earn a lot of money at a young age. That rarely goes well.

This all has to do with a lack of capacity.
Think of it like a weight in the gym. Someone who immediately starts squatting their body weight will collapse under the weight. The body does not yet have sufficient capacity to lift the weight. This requires training and gradual build-up.
And when it finally works, you can be proud of it. You put in the effort. You will appreciate the result more.

Before I ran my first marathon, I ran shorter distances for three years. This way my body was able to get used to the strain of running. I have also built up the mental resilience necessary for running long distances.

That's not always fun. When I have the handle on at 7:00 am while the rain is blowing horizontally and it is still almost freezing outside, I also want to go back to bed. Then a whole orchestra shouts in my head: “get in bed!” But that orchestra falls silent as soon as I step outside and start walking.
Because I know that this training will take me to my goal. When I come home and stand in the hot shower with tingling legs, I feel strong. I have grown.

So keep the bigger goal in mind and focus on the process. Every training brings you closer.

Pain of discipline Vs pain of regret.
Effortless living also presents you with another illusion; avoiding pain. This is also a fairy tale.

Result is the result of a thorough plan. The implementation of that plan depends on discipline. For the marathon you have to make meters.
A disciplined life is not always pleasant. You sacrifice things like the comfort of sleeping in or eating three desserts after dinner.
That is the pain of discipline.

On the other hand, there is the pain of regret. That comes much later. Often too late.
If only...

Before you know it you are a victim of delayed happiness. Or are you ill as a result of a poor lifestyle.

So choose which pain you take, that of discipline or of regret.
Without guarantees that you will get what you desire, because that is not how life works.
