Serkan's Enforce story: The Numbers Game!

I have often started exercising, which means that I have also often stopped. Unfortunately, I have never been able to find a consistent rhythm in tracking my “fitness”. For me, the yoyo effect of gaining and losing weight was the result of training without guidance, knowledge and discipline.

As an entrepreneur, I have high expectations of myself, my team and my organization. The move of our office to the Van Nelle Factory was a well-considered choice. The “coincidental” thing about it is that we have moved to the building adjacent to Enforce Rotterdam XL. This is how I met Rick Berkhout, owner and founder of Enforce Rotterdam.

After an “introductory meeting” with Rick, it became clear to me why I was not exercising consistently. At the beginning of September 2020, I started the coaching process with Rick with the aim of feeling fit again. In the beginning it was difficult for me to properly define the concept of “fit” because I did not have a concrete weight goal or something like that. After a few weeks, Rick discovered that I am a numbers person and literally linked a “grade” to our weekly coaching conversations. This turned out to be the ideal motivation for me to not only aim for a sufficient score (moderate 6) but to get the most out of my week in terms of exercise and nutrition. As an entrepreneur, my goal became to increase the “report mark” every week.

Thanks to this method, after 3 months I got into a wonderful rhythm where I no longer saw exercise and nutrition as a burden, but as a weekly goal and part of my agenda.

After 6 months of training at Enforce, I have lost 7 kg of fat and I still replace fat mass with muscle mass every week! I would like to thank Rick and the other trainers very much for the guidance and motivation. Thanks to Enforce, exercising and proper nutrition have become part of my agenda and daily life!
