Monday Master Blog: Keep moving despite the corona measures!

We should not try to solve a new health problem by making an existing and serious health problem, namely lack of exercise, worse.

Enforce is therefore starting today to roll out tools for its participants to continue training online with guidance at home in your own safe environment. Participants will be informed about this via email and Facebook.

Important: strengthen your resistance!
Just as you tackle the cause of illness and not just combat the symptoms, it is also important to strengthen your body from within so that you are resistant to viral infections such as the coronavirus.

The best weapon against the coronavirus is your own immune system and resilience.
What can you do to make your immune system as powerful and, above all, effective as possible?

#1 Get enough sleep: All recovery and repair work in your body takes place during your sleep. Several short nights in a row and you'll easily catch the flu or a cold. It is important to maintain a fixed waking and sleeping pattern. Make sure you don't eat at least three hours before you go to sleep: digestion takes a lot of energy, which is at the expense of recovery and repair. Provide sufficient daylight and exercise during the day. Provide a dark and cool bedroom.

#2 Sports: Many people would rather hit snooze in the morning than work out in the gym, but exercise is very good for your immune system. Running, rowing, cycling or fitness; it doesn't matter what you do, as long as you move. It boosts your immune system. People who exercise three times a week are sick four days a year less than people who don't.

#3 Avoid excessive stress and fatigue: There is a direct link between a poorly functioning immune system and chronic stress.

#4 Eat healthy: A powerful body and therefore an effective immune system needs plenty of vitamins and minerals! So eat more fruit and vegetables, that is where we find valuable micronutrients including vitamins and minerals.

#5 Drink less alcohol: At night, your liver is responsible for restoring your immune system and keeping it strong. Using (excessive) alcohol in the coming period is a bad plan.

#6 Drink enough water.

#7 Don't smoke or better yet, quit smoking altogether.

Keep calm, exercise, stay fit, enforce yourself!
