Monday Master Blog: Discipline

In my opinion, the most important quality towards your goals.

But what does discipline actually mean?

A person with discipline does what is expected of him or her and follows rules well. The person does what he or she has to do, even if he or she doesn't feel like it. A person with discipline can put himself to work. For example, someone in the army benefits greatly from this character trait, because he or she is very obedient. A student can do his homework with a lot of discipline. He doesn't feel like it, but he does it anyway.

I often hear people say things like “I don't feel like exercising after work anymore”.

In my opinion, these are the most important times to start exercising. The moments when you really dread going to the gym. These are the moments when you break old patterns.

Discipline is not something you have or don't have. It's nowhere. Yet people think that this is something that is inside you. Everyone can have discipline. It's just a matter of doing it.
