Monday Master Blog: Man with a mission

An old man sits slumped on the edge of his bed. He looks defeated.
When he sees the photo of his beloved granddaughter, he sighs somberly.
Until he looks outside and sees a lit Christmas tree.
He gets an idea, his face lights up.
Neighbors look at him with pity when he cannot lift the old kettlebell from the shed and call his daughter worriedly.
But the man cannot be stopped. He trains with determination every day with the heavy weight, with the photo of his sweet granddaughter in front of him. He has a mission.

The moment the old man gets his ultimate idea, his eyes start to sparkle and the music takes on a cheerful tone.

That's exactly how it is when you think about your ultimate dream.
What makes your eyes sparkle?
What is your mission?
That one goal that still seems unattainable, but which would make you so intensely happy.

Have you already started it or have you given up after a number of failed attempts?
Do you keep dreaming?
Or do you work on it?

Why do you want to get fitter?
Why do you want to lose those pounds?
Why do you want that?

Everything starts with the why.
A goal like losing weight is itself an empty goal. It doesn't release much and that's why you don't anchor it in your brain, as it were. Many of the good intentions are of that caliber and therefore doomed to failure.
If you attach a feeling to it, like with this old man, it suddenly takes on meaning. You get excited just thinking about it and you can hardly wait for it to happen. You simply come to love your goal, even if achieving it is not comfortable at all.

Once you have a clear goal and the corresponding feeling, nothing stands in the way. You no longer let anything stop or distract you.
Then the switch is simply turned.
Then you exercise, even if it rains. Then you leave that beer and the pack of cookies remains untouched. Even though it is open.
Then you accept the suffering and muscle pain, because every training brings you one step closer to your goal. That's called commitment!

YOU CAN TOO.
And yes, it's not easy and you're bound to stumble at some point.
Just get up once more than you fell.

The best gift you can give yourself and those around you this year is that you make your dreams come true.
That you reach for the seemingly unreachable.
That is why your health is a matter that is close to the hearts of our Enforce master trainers. We believe that vital people make an impact on the world around them, that their potential is lived from a fit, powerful and vital body. That is our mission. That's why we do what we do. So that you can achieve what really matters in your life.

And that old man?
On Christmas Eve, he proudly lifts his grandchild above his head so that she can place the peak on the Christmas tree. His mission was accomplished. Now yours.

We at Enforce wish you and your loved ones an unforgettable wonderful year.
