Monday Master Blog: Take an honest look at yourself

After a day of work, which is currently often done at home, you want to enjoy a nice and relaxing evening. But there is a good chance that your energy level is too low and that the desire to do something is not really there. In addition, food probably still needs to be prepared, the children may still have to go to bed and there are always those last chores at home that are not yet finished. These are all actions that you do because you have to, but... that's about it. It doesn't give you more energy.

After you have done these mandatory things, you probably still have many things in mind that you would like to do or that are not yet finished. "But they can still be done tomorrow," you say to yourself. Ultimately, you enjoy watching television with a snack on the couch, just like the other days of the week. At the same time you realize that this is not what you really want.

When you read the above and take an honest look at yourself, do you recognize this? Especially now that we feel that not much is possible during the corona period, we are adopting a lifestyle of moving less and sitting still more. Comfort is all around us and we are quickly tempted to postpone things.

But how many times do we have to fight for our food? How much effort do we actually have to make to have a dry place to sleep? And so on. I don't have to explain to you that these habits are no longer workable. We miss all this movement in our current and daily routine, while we fill ourselves with food that is not always healthy.

All options to get started are available. Yet there is a common denominator that prevents it from happening, namely ourselves. We procrastinate, we do not do what is necessary to live a healthy and conscious life and we do not take the actions to achieve the desired result.
