Monday Master Blog: Entrepreneurship from a powerful foundation

We see it more and more. Entrepreneurs who are building a healthy company from a bankrupt body. Is this healthy for the company in the long term? The foundation of the company starts with the owner/entrepreneur himself!

But what does this look like?

Weight training

Start with strength training. Train 2 to 3 times, start moving and then start working with resistance. Start lifting heavy weights. Not only is this good for your physical health, but it is also good for your mental health. You literally place a burden on yourself several times a week and this ensures that you train your mental resistance. It is very important for male entrepreneurs to do strength training because it gives you a testosterone boost.

Power supply

You can also brush your teeth without toothpaste. It just doesn't make much sense. This is basically the same with strength training. It would be a shame if you train well but your nutrition is still a mess. So be sure to start working on your diet. This does not have to be with shakes, juices or a diet. First, gain insight into your current diet. Then take a rough look at what that looks like. What about your calories and your macronutrients (carbohydrates/proteins/fats). Take a look at what you could easily change here and make small changes to your pattern week by week. This may not result in weight loss per week, but it often makes the changes sustainable.

Coaching

Definitely get a coach. Someone who reflects on the things you do, your behavior and the things you tell yourself. We all know that an apple is a healthier choice than a piece of apple pie, yet we often choose the apple pie. So it is not only in the knowledge, but also mainly in the behavior we exhibit and the choices we make. A coach keeps you sharp and confronts you when necessary. It is also the so-called stick behind the door for many people.

What if he/she were to undertake business with a fit and strong body and a mentally strong mind. What would this get them?

First of all, it gives you a lot more energy. Not only when you get up, but also when you get home. This way you can also give energy to the people who are waiting for you at home. It keeps you sharp throughout the day.

It improves your posture and appearance. Both to customers and to our own staff. As they say “you don't get a second chance to make a first impression”!

You have an outlet to vent all your worries.

We can go on like this for a while. The bottom line is that working on your personal foundation always makes an impact on your business.
